Since 1985 typical restaurant of the Garfagnana

Restaurant Il Pozzo is a place to experience firsthand for its family welcome and its strong culinary identity, as well as the vibrant emotions of its history.

Its origins date back to the 1900s when it was just a stable, and the well built outside it, halfway between the river and the main road of Pieve alla Fosciana, represented the only precious source of water.

In the 70s the stable was transformed into a restaurant after a long renovation, while the external walls and the well have remained intact for more than 100 years.

Today Restaurant Il Pozzo has become a point of reference in Garfagnana also because of its historic location, in a rustic style.

The structure offers large and spacious rooms, indoors and outdoors, which make the restaurant the ideal location, both in winter and in summer, for any type of occasion: a romantic dinner, a pizza with friends or a work dinner.

The welcoming dining room, furnished in a rustic style, is the ideal setting for a presentation of typical dishes of the Garfagnana cuisine.

The restaurant also has a large garden and a loggia to welcome guests on summer evenings, where the old “well” is also located.

Located in a hilly position, in the suggestive landscape of the Lucca countryside, Il Pozzo is an ideal location to celebrate anniversaries or special events, such as graduation parties, birthdays, wedding receptions, ceremonies, business lunches and dinners.
